The Tinkerer and the Architect.
Hello, my name is Animesh Dabral and I have a restless mind.
Well it is a cliche start, but it is true.
If you look at my browser history, you won't find a straight line. You will find Godot documentation next to typography essays. You will find beatbox patterns next to psychological thrillers.
I am a Tinkerer. I have a compulsion to open things up, see how they work, and usually, break them in the process.
But I am also an Architect. I crave order. I crave the feeling of taking that mess and forcing it into a shape that works.
This "duality"; the urge to explore chaos and the need to systemize it - is why I design.
Design is Not Decoration. It is an Expression for me.
To me, designing isn't about making things "pretty". It is the purest form of expression I have.
When I align a grid, or choose a typeface, or time a motion curve, I am not just filling pixels. I am projecting my internal logic onto the world, the largest canvas available to all of us.
I view digital experiences as narratives. A user visiting a website is no different than a reader opening a mystery novel, for example,
The Hook: Does the Hero Section grab them?
The Pacing: does the scroll feel rushed or rhythmic?
The Climax: Is the Call to Action earned, or forced?
I design because I want to control that narrative. I want to guide you, without you realizing you are being guided.
The Tinkering Habit (And why I can't sit still)
I have a habit of finding habits.
One week I am obsessed with 3D modeling. The next, I am deep into backend databases.
For a long time, I thought this was a weakness. I thought I lacked "focus".
But I realized that specialization is for insects. In the age of AI and automation, the most dangerous person in the room is the one who can bridge the gaps.
Because I tinker with Code, I know what is possible when I Design.
Because I tinker with Business Bricks, I know why the User Flow matters.
Because I tinker with Game Mechanics, I know where it will Break into.
My "distraction" is actually my superpower. It allows me to see the whole board.
Why I Build Systems
This brings me to my obsession with Systems.
I hate doing the same thing twice. If I have to solve a problem, I don't want to just solve it for today. I want to build a machine that solves it forever.
That is the philosophy behind PandaForge a project I am dearly working on.
I believe my team's collective motion for PandaForge is "We don't just sell hours. We don't just trade time for money. We manufacture leverage"
Whether it's a Framer component that adapts to any content, or an automation pipeline that automates sales, invoicing, etc. I am always looking for the "Engine" behind the work.
Where I am Headed
I am moving towards Total Autonomy.
I want to build a studio where the "boring" work is automated by the systems I build, leaving me free to do what I love most: Solving more of those messy, human problems.
I want to build interfaces that feel like magic.
I want to build businesses that run on logic.
And I want to keep tinkering, keep breaking things, and keep putting them back together; but always better than they were before. :)
This blog is the documentation of that journey. Welcome to the lab.
